The outer layer of your skin, where topicals are applied, is dead. The factors that drive skin longevity live in the deeper, living layer (the dermis), where most topical actives never reach.
An oral, internal approach allows actives to reach every layer of skin, from the inside out, and it reaches every part of your body, not just where you apply it. It also enables us to target the complex biological dependencies and synergies that drive skin longevity, in a way that standard topicals struggle to.
Taking something orally doesn't guarantee it reaches skin. Every active in Formula 01 has a documented route there: measured in skin after oral intake, taken up by known transporters in skin cells, or shown to change skin in human studies.

I came to this through longevity science.
At Oxford, I led the Society of Ageing and Longevity, where I worked with researchers asking how aging happens at the cellular level, and what can be done about it.
One organ kept standing out for me: the organ people spent the most time, money and emotion on was the organ the longevity field overlooked. Skin lived in dermatology, longevity lived in a lab.
I built a team of researchers who saw the same gap I did, and we came together to connect cutting edge geroscience to skin. We called it Project Epillon: Epi for skin, Lon for longevity.

Collagen powders deliver one substrate. You swallow collagen, hoping skin will use it to build more. But aged skin isn't short of raw material. It's short of the cellular machinery to build with, and a single substrate does nothing about that. Beauty vitamins are usually one or two actives at cosmetic doses, chosen for what's recognizable on a label rather than what the biology needs. Formula 01 is built from the biology outward. Seventeen actives at therapeutic doses, selected to act across all 10 factors and three pillars of skin aging: suppressing the damage, restoring cellular function, and signaling the rebuild. It's a systems approach, because skin aging is a system.
Formula 01 is a targeted rejuvenation intervention and therefore works with skin's own rebuilding cycle, so the timeline follows the biology. The surface layers renew in about four weeks.
